About This Course

Translation in Praxis is a Skill Enhancement Course designed to develop students’ practical translation skills between English and Malayalam. The course introduces learners to the principles and techniques of translation, focusing on linguistic accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and effective communication. Students will engage in the translation of poetry, prose, fiction, and drama from English to Malayalam and Malayalam to English, while addressing challenges such as cultural nuances, dialects, and literary expressions. Through hands-on activities and translation practice, the course aims to equip learners with the skills required for academic, literary, and professional translation.
